Hermès Manufacture de Métaux seeks Supply Chain Manager in Châtillon-le-Duc, France. Lead industrial planning, manage 6 direct reports, and drive operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pilot and animate short-term operational planning (1-2 weeks) by reconciling Hermès priorities, industrial capacity, production variations, new product launches, batch sizes, and supply chain constraints
- Ensure reliable and consistent information transmission to production workshops through daily priority arbitration and planning governance
- Maintain regular physical presence in workshops to develop deep understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and operational constraints
- Quickly identify planning deviations and work collaboratively with teams to establish corrective solutions
- Build reliable forecasts and establish organizational structures to prevent emergency-driven operations
- Analyze upstream industrial risks to anticipate capacity tensions, supply difficulties, and impacts of new developments
- Contribute to strategic pole decisions regarding Make-or-Buy analysis, industrial capacity, and performance trade-offs in collaboration with the Industrial Buyer
- Monitor and animate supply chain performance indicators across the pole
- Analyze delays and root causes, challenging practices when necessary to drive sustainable performance improvements
- Oversee new ERP deployment, ensuring data quality, configuration reliability, and team adoption of new processes
- Manage and develop a team of six direct reports (procurement, sales forecasting, logistics, inventory management)
- Provide functional leadership to two supply chain pilots at Bonnetage and Serre les Sapins sites
- Establish clear strategic direction and create an empowering environment for teams
- Make decisive judgments, set priorities, and demonstrate management courage when situations require it
- Maintain high performance standards while building trust-based relationships with teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, Industrialization, Procurement, and Group Supply Chain functions
- Adapt communication style and approach based on audience: ground-level engagement with operations teams, strategic proposals to senior leadership, and diplomatic dialogue with group functions
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Engineer or equivalent)
- Significant experience in a demanding industrial environment with high product diversity
- Track record in environments with frequent product innovations and short production cycles
- Recognized expertise in supply chain combined with deep understanding of industrial realities
- Proven pragmatism and ability to coordinate teams with divergent objectives
- Preferred experience in small-to-medium industrial enterprises
- Preferred experience in agile environments
- Preferred experience in manufacturing sites with strong new product development orientation

Experience
Significant experience acquired in a demanding industrial environment characterized by high product diversity, numerous innovations, and short production cycles. Ideally gained in a small-to-medium industrial enterprise, agile environment, or manufacturing site with strong new product development focus.
Education
Advanced degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
