Hermès seeks a Store Manager in Zurich to lead and develop the boutique, grow local and international clientele, drive sales and service, oversee purchasing, stock and operations, and represent Hermès in the local community. The role is a full-time, permanent position and reports to the subsidiary’s Retail Director.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and motivate the store team to achieve objectives and deliver excellent service to customers and visitors.
  • Share relevant information and analysis with the team, communicate the business vision and explain the store’s challenges.
  • Foster team spirit, set quantitative and qualitative objectives, evaluate results, and supervise and coach employees.
  • Recruit team members in collaboration with Human Resources, organize their integration, oversee and implement training and development actions, and conduct performance reviews when necessary.
  • Maintain a regular presence on the sales floor to support the team, set an example and coordinate in-store activity.
  • Oversee customer database information quality with the Customer Experience department and define targeted clienteling actions.
  • Monitor trends, benchmark competitors and analyze opportunities; propose and implement actions to develop the store.
  • Work with the Communications Department to organize customer events and promote Hermès through involvement in the local community.
  • Work with the Product Offer Department to define the purchasing strategy and make store purchases four times a year based on sales analysis and knowledge of the clientele.
  • Optimize stock management and goods flows to support customer service while maintaining stock levels and quality, with the Operations Department.
  • Share, explain, apply and enforce internal procedures in collaboration with Internal Control; supervise inventories and minimize markdowns.
  • Maintain the store in excellent condition and propose maintenance and refurbishment work to branch management to improve customer experience and facilitate operations.
  • Participate in meetings organized by General Management and Retail Management, sharing the store’s vision, ideas and best practices.
  • Report regularly on activities.
  • Work closely with subsidiary support functions, set an exemplary standard with the customer at the heart of decisions, and share the Hermès spirit with employees and store visitors.
