Hermès is hiring a part-time Store Host on a temporary contract in Vancouver. Positioned at the boutique entrance, the Host welcomes and guides clients, coordinates appointments and supports a gracious, efficient client experience. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, determined by role, location and individual experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Personally welcome every visitor entering and leaving the boutique.
- Serve as the boutique’s Host and embody the vision of providing extraordinary service to all clients.
- Take a genuine interest in clients’ needs and expectations, guiding them to the appropriate merchandise area or team member.
- Foster a helpful, cooperative atmosphere and handle difficult situations with grace and composure.
- Communicate appointment arrivals to the selling, operations and asset-protection teams, collaborating closely with boutique colleagues.
- Maintain the daily calendar of client appointments and boutique events in the appointment application, recording arrivals, no-shows, rescheduled appointments and cancellations.
- Assist with appointment requests by phone, schedule team appointments, assign requests and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Demonstrate generosity and anticipate clients’ needs.
- Proactively update clients waiting outdoors when the boutique is at capacity and help minimize their wait for service.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and a gracious, warm approach; handles telephone and face-to-face interactions effectively and professionally.
- Excellent customer-service skills and a friendly attitude in all client interactions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule according to business needs.
- Similar experience in customer service, retail or the service sector.
- Attention to detail and ability to keep a personal workspace organized.
