Hermès Italy SpA seeks a Stock Operations Manager in Florence to lead store inventory, ensure stock accuracy and manage the stock operations team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Stock Operations Team (Stock Supervisors, Stock Controllers, Stock Supports), setting objectives, performing appraisals and delivering regular feedback.
  • Ensure flawless synchronization between physical inventory and corporate systems by supervising all incoming and outbound product flows and corrective actions for negative or discrepant stocks.
  • Plan, prepare and execute stock takes and cycle counts; contribute to investigations, produce final reports for Finance and propose actions to reduce shrinkage.
  • Define, implement and maintain storage best practices and operating procedures; train store teams as the key-user and trainer on stock-related processes and tools.
  • Manage replenishment flows (remote stock, furniture stock), analyse stock levels, upcoming deliveries and sales to recommend pulls and support purchasing decisions.
  • Act as the store-level point of contact for all stock-related queries, liaising with Store Director, Sales Managers, Customer Experience, Security, Administration, Facilities and corporate teams (Subsidiary Operations, Merchandising, Internal Control).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and Master degree preferred, ideally with an analytical focus.
  • Minimum six years of professional experience in stock and managerial roles; experience in international luxury fashion retail is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; a third language is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable team leadership and people-management skills with experience driving operational performance.
  • Highly organised, rigorous, proactive and service-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
