Hermès — Stock Controller in Venice, Italy. Manage stock accuracy, inbound/outbound flows, replenishment and cycle counts for the boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process and record all incoming and outgoing product flows, ensuring alignment between physical movements and the inventory management system.
- Organize and maintain stockrooms and reserve areas to maximise space efficiency and facilitate rapid retrieval for sales and replenishment.
- Plan and perform daily replenishment of salesfloor stock to ensure product availability and presentation standards.
- Coordinate local and international inter-boutique transfer requests and manage associated documentation and system updates.
- Monitor and close expired customer reservations daily, reintegrating items into available stock.
- Conduct daily controls to detect and resolve negative stock, perform stock takes and cycle counts, and maintain stock accuracy metrics.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of stock-related processes, IT tools and omnichannel implications on inventory operations.
- Collaborate continuously with all store departments and regional teams to support commercial and operational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an analytical focus.
- Fluency in Italian and English; an additional language is advantageous.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a stock control, inventory or similar role — experience in luxury retail preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel and general retail IT tools; comfortable with inventory systems and data entry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
- Professionalism, dynamism, adaptability and a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
- Availability and flexibility to work in a high-pace retail environment and a commitment to Hermès’ people-centric values and aesthetic standards.

Experience
Minimum 1 year in stock control, inventory management or a related operational role, ideally within a retail or luxury retail environment; demonstrable experience with stocktakes, cycle counts and inter-store transfers.
Education
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an analytical focus.
