Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day stock accuracy and controls: process deliveries, claims, returns, transfers, special movements, damaged, stolen and loan items promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage daily replenishment of salesfloor and packaging stock; monitor and close expired reservations and reintegrate items into available inventory.
  • Prepare for and execute stocktakes and cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, contribute to scanning investigations and assist in producing final reports for Finance (validated by Store Manager).
  • Manage defective/damaged goods process and maintain the designated area in the stockroom; communicate stock and quality issues to the Stock Manager.
  • Implement and promote stock-related best practice (5S, KPIs), contribute to continuous improvement of storage organisation, tools and procedures, and propose corrective actions to reduce shrinkage.
  • Coordinate transversally with store teams, Stock Manager, Head Office stakeholders (Warehouse, Retail Operations, Internal Control, Retail Merchandising) and external service providers (eg. DHL, FedEx).
  • Deliver and participate in training on stock-control processes and tools; coach colleagues on accurate sales and stock data practices when requested.
  • Ensure stockroom compliance with health & safety and security procedures, maintain tidiness of aisles and fire routes and report equipment defects or hazards.
  • Adhere to Hermès standards of personal presentation, punctuality and confidentiality; represent the brand with professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience in a Stock Controller or inventory role within a retail brand, preferably luxury retail.
  • Demonstrable experience preparing and executing cycle counts and stocktakes and investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Proven knowledge of stock management processes and inventory control best practice.
  • Proficient IT skills, including EPOS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Physically able to perform stockroom tasks (ladder work, lifting up to 50 lb), and flexible to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays when required.

Experience

Minimum three years' hands-on experience in a stock control or inventory role within retail, with direct responsibility for cycle counts, stock reconciliation and stockroom operations; luxury retail experience preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in logistics, supply chain or retail operations is preferred but not mandatory.
