Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce, budget and execute medium-scale event activity end-to-end, including institutional events, store openings, exhibitions, retail activations, press and client engagement programmes, and flagship programming.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Special Events and the Hermès International Office to develop concepts, secure approvals and align events with strategic and brand objectives.
  • Manage event production logistics: floorplans, build drawings, fabrication samples, scenography, AV, lighting and on-site execution, including travel and vendor coordination.
  • Negotiate and manage third-party vendor contracts and proposals (catering, lighting, sound, décor), ensuring compliance with legal, insurance and internal audit requirements.
  • Own event financials for delegated events: prepare and maintain budgets, track expenditures, submit timely payments and produce post-event financial reports and recaps.
  • Lead guest-list strategy in partnership with CRM and boutiques; coordinate invitations from design through deployment and collaborate with Press to manage press/influencer attendance.
  • Create detailed production schedules, runs-of-show and logistics charts for inventory movements; scout and prepare venue overviews as required.
  • Manage and mentor the Special Events Coordinator; delegate tasks, provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
  • Research and onboard regional vendors, act as a regional vendor expert and stay abreast of industry trends and suppliers.
  • Provide strategic input for new event concepts and support delivery of larger-scale image events as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in event production, experiential marketing or a comparable role — ideally within luxury retail, fashion or cultural programming.
  • Proven supervisory experience, with the ability to mentor a coordinator and manage freelancers and production agencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in event budgeting, financial tracking and adherence to internal audit processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor contracts, NDAs and insurance requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently and work evenings/weekends as event schedules require.
