Hermès Sellier in Pantin seeks a Sensorial Qualification Engineering Intern — 6‑month full‑time internship starting Sept 2026 in Pantin, Île‑de‑France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Qualify and categorise metal mechanisms used across leather goods and fashion accessories using sensory-analysis protocols and objective measurement methods.
- Survey and document existing mechanical systems and assemblies (sliders, pivots, clips, etc.) and their functional behaviour in product use.
- Design and run tests to identify and quantify performance parameters for each product family.
- Correlate measured parameters with geometries, material choices, manufacturing processes (machining, stamping) and surface finishes.
- Collaborate with the CAD team, Industrialisation and Quality services, and external suppliers to collect data, iterate prototypes and validate specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, test protocols and synthesis documents for cross‑functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an engineering programme (mechanical engineering preferred; sensoriel/sensory engineering background appreciated).
- Knowledge of machining and/or stamping processes, mechanical assemblies and materials behaviour.
- Demonstrated precision, confidentiality and methodical rigor.
- Autonomous, proactive and able to propose practical improvements.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to document technical findings clearly.

Experience
No previous professional experience required; open to engineering students and junior candidates. Beginners accepted for this internship role.
Education
Current enrolment in an engineering school (mechanical engineering or related disciplines; sensoriel/sensory engineering pathways desirable).
