Hermès seeks a Senior Sales Associate in Milan to deliver personalised luxury client experiences and drive boutique sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, memorable client experiences with storytelling that highlights brand heritage and product craftsmanship.
- Advise customers across all product categories and develop sales beyond a single category to fulfil client needs and maximise omnichannel value.
- Build and maintain a qualified customer portfolio through tailored client discovery, proactive prospecting and long-term relationship management.
- Lead complex sales processes and after-sales follow-up, handle complaints and ensure client satisfaction throughout the full customer journey.
- Stay fully conversant with product assortments, prices and stock availability to provide accurate advice and optimise conversion.
- Contribute to business development by proposing and executing commercial actions aligned with boutique objectives.
- Collect, update and maintain client data in compliance with privacy policies and company procedures.
- Support operational tasks and ensure adherence to company procedures, systems and loss-prevention standards.
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues, share best practice, market insights and product knowledge; act as a role model in the boutique.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a fashion or linguistic focus.
- Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages considered an advantage.
- Proven track record of direct client sales, ideally within a luxury goods boutique; international experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Excel and general IT tools.
- Demonstrated leadership aptitude with the ability to motivate and support a sales team.
- Professionalism, dynamism and strong teamwork skills with a customer-service orientation.

Experience
Strong experience in direct client sales, preferably within luxury retail; experience mentoring or coaching colleagues and international exposure are advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in fashion, languages or related disciplines).
