Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily shipping, receiving and inventory operations for the flagship Maison, ensuring timely, accurate merchandise flow and strict adherence to procedures.
  • Manage cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, perform stock adjustments and oversee shrink-reduction and stock-preparation processes.
  • Develop and enforce inventory, shipping and receiving policies; communicate procedural updates and ensure cascading compliance through the Inventory Manager.
  • Conduct comprehensive monthly audits of shipping, receiving and inventory activities, including shipping logs, transfer discrepancies and a 10% shipping audit.
  • Partner with merchandising and buying teams to manage replenishment, stock flow and product availability across storage points.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies in a high-volume, luxury retail environment using omnichannel systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Coach, mentor and manage the Inventory Manager and shipping/receiving teams through performance coaching, goal setting and formal reviews.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators to the Director of Operations, escalating issues and implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams on equipment lifecycle decisions and participate in budget management to improve cost efficiencies.
  • Run biweekly team meetings to review performance, address challenges and align on operational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of retail management experience, including direct responsibility for shipping/receiving and inventory functions; luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Proven supervisory experience with responsibility for hiring, coaching, performance management and achieving productivity targets.
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with demonstrated success driving inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Experience conducting operational audits, cycle counts and implementing shrink-reduction strategies.
  • Proficiency in retail systems and reporting tools; advanced use of MS Office. SAP Retail experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills; ability to influence across store and corporate teams.
  • Capacity to travel domestically and internationally for training and to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Experience

At least six years of progressive retail operations experience with hands-on responsibility for shipping, receiving and inventory control. Demonstrated track record of managing teams, executing audits, improving inventory accuracy and collaborating with merchandising/buying functions. Prior experience in a luxury environment preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience in retail operations will be considered.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 112,295 to USD 133,455 per annum.
