Hermès (GB) Ltd is hiring a Senior Finance Analyst in London (contract) to lead FP&A, reporting and forecasting for the UK & Ireland region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead monthly reporting for operating and capital expenditure, producing variance analysis, performance insights and stakeholder-focused recommendations to support decision-making.
- Maintain and enhance KPIs, dashboards and analytical tools; deploy reporting automation and process efficiencies to improve business visibility.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on cost drivers, investment performance and operational trends and translate findings into practical guidance for stakeholders.
- Own month‑end and quarterly close activities including accruals, reclasses and cost‑centre reviews to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
- Prepare and reconcile data for Magnitude and SAP closing packs to align with Group reporting requirements.
- Assemble and construct data for budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling; challenge assumptions and refine forecasts with business partners.
- Drive improvements in planning processes, tools and stakeholder engagement; champion automation and reporting enhancements.
- Act as a trusted business partner to operational leaders, project managers and Accounting; translate financial insight into pragmatic recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Communications, Real Estate, Operations) to strengthen cost discipline, governance and reporting efficiency.
- Share best practices, provide training and coach finance team members and budget holders to improve financial capability.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and maintain a robust control environment.
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or international equivalent).
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in financial analysis, performance management and business modelling within a complex organisation.
- Proven track record supporting planning, budgeting, reforecasting and monthly/quarterly close cycles.
- Demonstrable ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years' progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles within a multi‑stakeholder, complex organisation, with demonstrable exposure to planning, forecasting, reforecasting and month‑end close processes.
Education
Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or international equivalent).
