Hermès is seeking a Senior Accounting Executive in Bangkok on a full-time, unlimited contract. The role oversees accounting close and reporting, reconciliations, tax filings, audit support, fixed-asset controls and process-improvement initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities, including general ledger journal entries, and prepare relevant financial and management reports.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Track daily transactions and ensure financial records comply with regulatory standards; support and liaise with auditors.
- Maintain and control fixed asset records.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting operations and assist with efficiency projects, including process automation and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local and company reporting requirements.
- Prepare relevant tax filings and submit them to the Government accurately and on time, including withholding tax, VAT and property tax.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Develop reports to support business needs.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CA or CPA certification is an advantage.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in accounting, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar capacity.
- Ability to work independently; strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP and in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy.
- Good command of English.
- Knowledge of tax law and accounting.
- Internal and external stakeholder-management skills and a service-oriented approach.
- Hands-on knowledge of MS Office, financial software such as SAP, and reporting tools.
