Hermès San Diego seeks a Selling and Service Assistant to support retail operations, POS transactions, CRM administration, and client service in a luxury boutique environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately process point-of-sale transactions including sales, sends, repairs, and participate in opening and closing procedures with management
- Deliver consistently elevated service experiences aligned with Hermès service standards: greet clients promptly and warmly, offer assistance, answer inquiries, and provide professional wrapping and packaging at point of sale
- Support the sales team with merchandise preparation: hanging stock, returning merchandise to floor, retrieving inventory, and organizing stockroom operations
- Maintain selling floor organization and merchandising standards: ensure continuous stocking of supplies (bags, boxes, notecards, ribbon, POS materials), maintain visual standards, and straighten displays
- Administer stockroom operations: support merchandise flow including replenishment, electronic article surveillance (EAS) tagging, ticketing, and inventory preparation
- Assist After-Sales department as needed: log repairs, contact clients, and maintain accurate service records
- Record detailed and accurate CRM entries documenting purchase history and sales analysis
- Answer incoming calls in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
Qualifications
- One year retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling strongly preferred
- Customer service orientation and client-focused mindset
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented approach to accuracy and record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Capacity to manage difficult situations with grace, composure, and empathy
- Ability to lift 0–25 lbs. without assistance

One year of retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail setting. Hands-on experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling is strongly preferred.
