Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately process point‑of‑sale transactions, including sales, sends, repairs and monetary payment verification; assist with opening and closing procedures in partnership with management.
- Provide high standards of client service consistent with Hermès protocols: prompt greeting, product assistance, gift wrapping and packaging at point of sale.
- Support the sales team with merchandising, floor replenishment, stock retrieval and physical preparation of inventory.
- Manage stockroom operations: tagging, ticketing, replenishment and preparation for physical inventory.
- Administer after-sales service processes: log repairs, contact clients, and maintain active service records.
- Record detailed and accurate CRM entries reflecting purchase history and client interactions to support sales analysis.
- Answer telephone enquiries promptly and deliver professional customer service.
- Maintain workstation and selling floor supplies (bags, boxes, notecards, ribbon, POS station) and uphold visual and merchandising standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year retail experience; prior luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated cash‑handling and POS experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer‑service orientation.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritise and maintain attention to detail in a high‑volume boutique environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage difficult situations with composure and empathy.
- Ability to lift up to 0–25 lbs. without assistance.
