Hermès — Selling and Service Assistant (Manhasset, NY). Full‑time boutique role supporting POS, CRM, stockroom and client service at the new Manhasset boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process point-of-sale transactions accurately, including sales, sends, repairs and monetary payments; assist management with opening and closing procedures.
- Deliver Hermès-standard client service: greet clients promptly, respond to enquiries, assist with packaging and wrapping at point of sale.
- Support the sales team with merchandising tasks: hanging displays, returning merchandise to the sales floor, retrieving stock and preparing items for presentation.
- Maintain selling-floor readiness: replenish bags, boxes, notecards, ribbon and POS supplies; straighten displays and uphold merchandising standards.
- Assist stockroom operations and merchandise flow: replenishment, EAS tagging, ticketing and preparation for physical inventory.
- Provide after-sales administrative support: log repairs, contact clients, maintain active records and coordinate follow-ups.
- Record detailed CRM entries that reflect purchase history and sales context to support client relationship management.
- Answer phones promptly with professional customer service and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of retail experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and customer-service skills.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain attention to detail in a high‑volume luxury environment.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort performing routine administrative tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with composure and empathy.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.

Experience
At least 1 year of retail experience; prior luxury retail or boutique experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or customer-service training is a plus.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 24.77 to USD 27.12 per hour.
