Hermès Houston seeks a Selling and Service Assistant to deliver exceptional client service and support boutique operations in a luxury retail environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Accurately process point-of-sale transactions at the register, managing sales, sends, and repairs whilst assisting with opening and closing procedures
  • Provide consistently elevated service to clients aligned with Hermès standards: prompt, courteous greetings, attentive assistance, wrapping and packaging support
  • Support the sales team throughout the selling process: merchandise hanging, stock retrieval, floor preparation, and stockroom maintenance
  • Organize and maintain the workstation and selling floor to facilitate sales efforts, ensuring adequate stock of bags, boxes, notecards, ribbon, and POS supplies whilst maintaining visual merchandising standards
  • Manage stockroom operations and merchandise flow: replenishment, EAS tagging, ticketing, and physical inventory preparation
  • Support after-sales services as required: logging repairs, contacting clients, maintaining accurate records
  • Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records documenting client purchase history and sales analysis
  • Answer telephones in a timely, professional manner and execute ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage challenging situations with grace, composure, and emotional intelligence
  • Physical capability to lift 0–25 lbs. without assistance
  • Commitment to regular in-person presence at the designated boutique location

Experience
