Hermès is seeking a Security and Risk Management Assistant intern in Paris for a six-month internship, starting 4 January 2027. The intern will support risk mapping, operational monitoring, field data collection, risk policy development, and reporting for a 17-boutique French network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to mapping security and safety risks across France.
  • Monitor operational developments, including crime, legislative changes, and climatic and technological hazards.
  • Share relevant information with security managers to anticipate sensitive situations.
  • Participate in field data collection through visits, audits, and interviews with boutique security managers.
  • Contribute to developing the risk matrix based on probability and impact.
  • Help formulate action plans aligned with the Maison’s strategy.
  • Participate in designing dashboards and risk indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to implementing reliable, high-quality reporting tools.
  • Support the production of key deliverables for the Distribution France Security and Safety Strategy.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing Bac+4/5 studies in risk management, security, safety, or a related field.
  • Comfortable using office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Initial familiarity with ISO 31000, ISO 22301, or ISO 28000 standards.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal finesse, diplomacy, and a strong sense of confidentiality, with the ability to build quality relationships and act with discernment.
  • Enjoys analysing, questioning, and giving purpose to their work; thrives in cross-functional environments where rigour and teamwork make a difference.
  • Curious and rigorous, with an interest in understanding complex environments and contributing to them.
  • Able to listen, observe, and collaborate with a range of stakeholders with discernment and discretion.
