Hermès Washington D.C. seeks Seasonal Sales Support Associate for temporary November–December role. $20–$23/hr, retail operations support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary client service within Hermès' service standards through attentive greeting, product assistance, and meticulous packaging and wrapping at point of sale
- Support the sales team with merchandise handling including inventory retrieval, stock rotation, and preparation of selling floor displays
- Organize and maintain workstations and the selling floor to optimize sales efforts, ensuring consistent stock of accessories, packaging materials, stationery, and point-of-sale supplies
- Assist client service, concierge, doorperson, and host functions as needed to enhance the client experience
- Coordinate after-sales support activities including repair logging, client communications, and maintenance of active service records
- Answer incoming telephone inquiries in a timely, courteous manner with appropriate customer service demeanor
- Execute additional duties as assigned by store management
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of relevant customer service or retail operations experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and client-facing composure
- Detail-oriented approach to task execution and record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage challenging interpersonal situations with grace and professional composure
- Physical capacity to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of experience in customer service, retail operations, or related boutique/hospitality environment
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or luxury hospitality training is preferred but not required
