Hermès Manhasset Boutique seeks a temporary Seasonal Sales Support Associate to provide clerical and operational support for front and back-of-house activities during the November through 30 December period. This role reports to store management and works collaboratively with sales and support teams to enhance the client experience within a fast-paced luxury environment, encompassing client service, merchandise management, order fulfillment, and administrative coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide consistent high-level client service in accordance with Hermès standards, including prompt and friendly greetings, product assistance, and wrapping support at point of sale
- Support the sales team with merchandise handling, including hanging stock, retrieving items, restocking the selling floor, and maintaining stockroom organization
- Organize and maintain workstation and selling floor standards, ensuring adequate supplies (bags, boxes, ribbons, stationery) are stocked and merchandise presentation is immaculate
- Assist with client service, concierge, greeter, and host functions as needed
- Provide back-office support including repair logging, client contact coordination, and record maintenance for after-sales services
- Answer phones in a professional and timely manner, maintaining appropriate customer service standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by store management
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation and ability to handle difficult situations with grace and composure
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance
- Commitment to regular in-person work at the Manhasset boutique location
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospitality experience
