This temporary seasonal position provides clerical and operational support to the Hermès Houston Boutique throughout the holiday period, assisting both front and back-of-house operations. Reporting to store management, the Sales Support Associate collaborates with the sales team to deliver the elevated client experience characteristic of Hermès through merchandise support, workstation organization, and concierge services. The role encompasses inventory management, client service coordination, after-sales support, and facility maintenance tasks essential to maintaining the boutique's operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, high-caliber client service in alignment with Hermès service standards, including prompt greeting, offer of assistance, and professional wrapping and packaging at point of sale
- Support the sales team with inventory and merchandise management, including hanging stock, retrieving items from stockroom, and physical organization of merchandise displays
- Maintain workstation and selling floor organization to support sales efforts, ensuring point-of-sale supplies (bags, boxes, ribbons, stationery) are consistently stocked and displays meet Hermès standards
- Coordinate with Client Service, Concierge, and Guest Services functions to enhance the overall client experience
- Provide administrative support for after-sales services, including repair intake logging, client contact coordination, and active record maintenance
- Answer phones in a timely, courteous manner and direct inquiries appropriately
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients professionally and courteously
- Customer service-oriented mindset with commitment to excellence
- Detail-oriented approach to task completion and organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations with composure, grace, and empathy
- Physical capability to lift items up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Availability for in-person work at the Houston boutique location
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales support, customer service, or a similar client-facing boutique environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or hospitality training is a plus.
