Hermès South Coast Plaza seeks a Seasonal Sales Support Associate in Costa Mesa, CA for November–December temporary retail support role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt and courteous greetings to clients, offer product assistance and education, and provide wrapping and packaging support at point of sale consistent with Hermès service standards
- Support the sales team by managing merchandise logistics: hanging items for display, returning merchandise to the floor, retrieving stock from the back-of-house, and preparing inventory for sale
- Maintain organized workstations and selling floor presentation by monitoring stock levels of packaging materials (boxes, ribbons, stationery, and gift items), straightening displays, and filling merchandise gaps to optimize the selling environment
- Coordinate with Client Service, Concierge, Doorperson, and Greeter/Host functions to ensure seamless client flow and support
- Assist with after-sales operations including repair intake logging, client communication follow-ups, and maintenance of active service records
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally while providing appropriate customer service guidance
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of retail or hospitality experience
- Demonstrated customer service excellence and professional interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
- Ability to lift between 0–25 pounds without assistance
- Physical capability to stand and move throughout the boutique for extended periods
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including potential weekend and holiday hours during peak retail season
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing service environments. Prior experience in luxury retail or a high-end boutique setting is preferred but not required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; some college education or specialized retail/hospitality training is a plus.
