The Seasonal Sales Support Associate provides comprehensive operational and clerical support across front and back-of-house operations at the Hermès Topanga boutique, which opened in 2023. This temporary position runs from November through December 31st and reports directly to store management. The role involves delivering service consistent with Hermès standards, supporting the sales team, maintaining inventory and visual standards, and assisting with client-facing functions including phone communication and post-sale services.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, friendly greetings and assistance to clients in alignment with Hermès service standards, including wrapping and packaging support at point of sale
- Support the sales team with merchandise management, including hanging items, retrieving stock, and maintaining physical organization of the stockroom
- Maintain workstation and selling floor organization to maximize sales effectiveness, ensuring all packaging supplies, boxes, ribbons, and stationery are consistently stocked and merchandise standards are upheld
- Provide administrative and operational support to client service, concierge, doorperson, and greeter functions
- Assist with after-sales operations including logging repairs, contacting clients, and maintaining active repair records
- Answer phones in a timely and professional manner using appropriate customer service protocols
- Execute all additional duties assigned by store supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of retail or customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation with ability to handle challenging situations with grace and composure
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 0–25 lbs. without assistance
- Availability for in-person work at the Topanga location on a regular basis
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of relevant retail, sales support, or customer service experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or hospitality training is a plus.
