Hermès Marseille seeks a Seasonal Sales Advisor for part-time summer retail role in France. Luxury retail sales position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and engage clients with warmth and attentiveness, adapting comportment and presentation to the Hermès environment and multicultural clientele
- Actively listen to client needs through thoughtful questioning to understand preferences and purchase intentions
- Articulate the craftsmanship and heritage embedded in each Hermès creation
- Provide tailored product recommendations that enhance the client experience and drive sales
- Cross-sell complementary items and collections to maximize transaction value
- Close sales transactions professionally and courteously
- Communicate enthusiasm and energy to colleagues and support team morale
- Demonstrate versatility through product knowledge and participation in ancillary store operations—merchandise presentation, pricing, stock management, and store cleanliness
- Support colleagues during periods of high demand or complexity
Qualifications
- Baccalauréat +2 (A-level equivalent) or higher, or proven successful experience in retail sales
- Fluent English—essential requirement
- Passion for luxury products and understanding of artisanal craftsmanship
- Dynamic, enthusiastic personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated desire for sales challenge and commercial achievement
Skills
Experience
Successful prior experience in retail sales, fashion retail, or luxury goods retail is required or highly preferred. Familiarity with multicultural client engagement and high-touch service delivery is advantageous.
Education
Bac +2 (Baccalauréat +2 / A-level or equivalent) or higher. Relevant retail, hospitality, or customer service certifications are a plus.
