At Hermès Data, Technologies and Innovation, the SAP Competency Center Manager leads the creation and operation of the SAP Competency Center as part of a major ERP modernization program, with autonomy and visibility among senior leadership. The role oversees the SAP Design Authority, development teams, partners, solution delivery, and the future support model. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build and lead the SAP Competency Center, define its organization, assemble teams, and develop the expertise needed for its success.
- Structure and lead the SAP Design Authority, ensure consistency in application decisions, and help define a shared model suited to the specific needs of the business areas.
- Organize and manage development teams and external partners, ensuring the quality, control, and sustainability of delivered solutions.
- Oversee SAP application design, configuration, and development in close collaboration with functional leads and ERP program teams.
- Build the target organization for SAP support and maintenance, prepare the transition to operations, and ensure continuity between projects and future enhancements.
- Manage resources, budgets, and performance commitments while bringing teams and stakeholders together around a shared vision.
Qualifications
- Confirmed experience leading an SAP Competency Center and implementing complex ERP transformations, ideally in an industrial or supply chain environment.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, challenge strategic partners, and make structuring decisions.
- Recognized leadership, interpersonal intelligence, and ability to unite teams, combined with operational rigor, political acumen, and a commitment to knowledge sharing.
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
