Hermès Plaza Del Lago seeks temporary Sales Support Associate, November–December, $20–$22/hr. Chicago-area luxury retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, elevated client service in accordance with Hermès standards, including greeting clients promptly, offering assistance, and providing expert wrapping and packaging at point of sale
- Support sales associates with the selling process by hanging merchandise, retrieving stock items, and preparing the stockroom for efficient operations
- Organize and maintain workstations and the selling floor to optimize the sales effort, ensuring all selling materials (bags, boxes, ribbons, stationery, etc.) remain consistently stocked and displays meet established standards
- Support Client Service, Concierge, Doorperson, and Greeter/Host functions as assigned
- Manage after-sales support activities including logging repairs, contacting clients, and maintaining active client records
- Answer telephones in a timely, professional manner with friendly and appropriate customer service
- Execute ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned by the store management team
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-service orientation with proven ability to prioritize client satisfaction
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Capacity to handle challenging situations with grace, composure, and compassion
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Commitment to regular in-person work at the designated boutique location
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
