Hermès San Francisco seeks a Sales Specialist to deliver extraordinary client service within the boutique's fast-paced luxury environment. This role combines sales achievement with operational excellence, requiring accountability for individual sales targets while maintaining the house's rigorous standards for asset protection, merchandising presentation, and client experience. The position reports to the Floor Director and collaborates across the sales and support teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and annual individual sales goals while collaborating with the team to meet boutique-wide targets
  • Organize and prioritize the selling floor to support sales efforts and overall client experience, ensuring all merchandise—bags, boxes, packaging materials, and stationery—remain well-stocked
  • Maintain selling floor to house standards, including straightening displays, replenishing new receipts per visual merchandising guidelines, physical EAS tagging, ticketing, and inventory preparation
  • Process and verify transaction accuracy at the POS, including receipts, CRM files with customer purchase history and sales analysis, SKUs, payment processing, and administrative support for after-sales service
  • Partner with management on POS decisions, communicate discrepancies in opening, closing, and general POS variances by end of business, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
  • Comply with all asset protection procedures, including employee sign-in sheets, bag checks, key control, merchandise security, proper EAS tagging, and participation in physical inventory and monthly cycle counts
  • Provide consistent high-level service aligned with Hermès standards: prompt and friendly greetings, offer assistance with product questions, and support wrapping and packaging at point of sale

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining composure in a fast-paced setting
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while fostering effective team collaboration
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Physical ability to lift 0–25 lbs without assistance
  • Flexibility to accommodate business scheduling needs, including weekend and evening availability
  • Regular in-person attendance at the San Francisco boutique location

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 29 to USD 31.50 per hour.
