Sales Specialist position at Hermès Chicago boutique, $25–$27/hr. Full-time retail role with commission, benefits, and luxury service environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual individual sales goals while contributing to the boutique's collective target
- Organize and prioritize the selling floor to support sales efforts and overall customer experience, including straightening, filling, replenishment of new receipts, physical EAS tagging, and ticketing according to visual merchandising guidelines
- Process and ensure accuracy of all transactions including receipts and CRM files that document purchase history, SKUs, monetary payment, and client verification
- Assist with after-sales service administration as needed
- Partner with management on point-of-sale operations and communicate discrepancies during opening, closing, and general POS variances by end of business day
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation at all times
- Comply with all asset protection procedures including employee sign-in sheets, bag checks, physical EAS tagging guidelines, merchandise security, and proper ticketing protocols
- Prepare for physical inventory and participate in monthly cycle counts as directed by management
- Provide prompt and friendly greeting, offer assistance, answer client questions, and assist with wrapping and packaging at point of sale consistent with Hermès service standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience
- Experience in a luxury retail environment preferred
- Strong relationship development and communication skills
- Even-tempered with ability to multitask continuously
- Self-starter capable of working independently while balancing team collaboration
- Strong organizational skills
- Open availability to accommodate business needs
- Ability to lift between 0–25 lbs. without assistance

Experience
2 years of sales experience, with preference for background in a luxury retail environment. Experience with point-of-sale systems, customer relationship management platforms, and visual merchandising standards is valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; no additional formal education specified.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 25 to USD 27 per hour.
