John Lobb is hiring a Sales Associate in Chicago to support the new flagship boutique and serve an international luxury clientele.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary customer service on the sales floor, cultivate relationships with an international and discerning clientele, and maximise sales and customer retention through personalised clienteling.
- Develop deep product knowledge across John Lobb collections — features, materials and care — and translate that expertise into persuasive selling and after‑sales guidance.
- Maintain and refresh in‑store visual presentations and product displays to reflect brand standards and seasonal priorities.
- Manage customer correspondence, handle queries and ensure high‑quality after‑sales support including care and repair coordination.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of store inventory, ensure correct storage and handling, report stock issues to the Store Manager, and participate in receiving, ordering and stock maintenance processes.
- Contribute to the compilation and upkeep of the customer database to support CRM initiatives and targeted outreach.
- Adhere to company security procedures to protect stock and property, liaise with wider John Lobb teams as required, and undertake projects or tasks assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in high‑end or luxury international retail; experience in footwear or men’s apparel is a strong advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in an additional language is desirable.
- Experience with retail administration and familiarity with CRM systems, databases and e‑commerce operations is preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering sales targets and executing a sophisticated approach to selling and client relations.
- Professional, team‑oriented demeanour with adaptability, proactivity, strong problem‑solving skills and a performance focus.

Experience
At least three years of experience in luxury or high‑end retail environments, ideally with exposure to footwear or men’s clothing and international clientele.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, luxury service or hospitality is advantageous.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 25 to USD 27 per hour.
