Hermès Risk & Insurance Assistant (Apprenticeship)

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to business units and subsidiaries on insurance and risk-related projects, including contract development and clause analysis.
• Manage and follow up insurance files and claims (including construction and property claims) in coordination with internal stakeholders and external insurers.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a centralised documentary database for the Insurance Department.
• Support prevention and risk-mitigation programmes: coordinate a global network of local correspondents via an Agora platform and produce user-facing communication materials.
• Perform risk analyses and develop regular reporting and dashboards to track incidents and exposures.
• Collaborate closely with Internal Audit and Internal Control on procedure reviews and project monitoring.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a business school, engineering school or university programme (bachelor’s or master’s level) — equivalent academic paths accepted.
• Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) — essential for the role.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and experience or interest in building dashboards with Power BI.
• Excellent written communication, synthesis skills and attention to detail.
• Autonomous, reliable and rigorous with a capacity for initiative and creativity.
• Adaptable, curious and discreet; able to liaise with international teams and local correspondents.

Open to students and early-career candidates; beginners accepted. Prior internship experience in risk management, insurance, internal audit or corporate finance is advantageous but not required.

Current enrolment in a business school, engineering school or university (bachelor’s or master’s level) or equivalent.
