Hermès — Paris: Risk and Foresight Manager. Lead group-level risk identification, scenario planning and a small team within the Audit & Risks Directorate.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify and anticipate strategic, operational and emerging risks across the group and its subsidiaries; provide actionable insights to inform medium- and long-term strategic decisions.
- Design and deliver strategic foresight activities: horizon scanning, identification of weak signals, trend analysis and development of medium- to long-term scenarios.
- Structure and maintain group-level risk mapping and prioritisation frameworks; define update cadences by entity size and monitor execution against plan.
- Integrate entity, project and regulatory risk analyses into a consolidated group view to ensure comprehensive coverage and avoid silos.
- Organise and facilitate internal workshops, working groups and events to disseminate a culture of foresight and strengthen risk awareness across functions and subsidiaries.
- Manage external providers engaged on foresight and risk projects, overseeing deliverables, timelines and quality standards.
- Develop and deliver internal communications and tailored content on risk themes and foresight outputs for business lines and subsidiaries.
- Line-manage and develop a small team (two direct reports: a risk officer and a foresight officer), ensuring quality of analyses, reports and strategic notes.
- Report to the Director of Governance and Organisational Development and ensure transversal coordination with the Audit & Risks Directorate.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in social sciences, political science, business school or equivalent.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity and capacity to generate original perspectives on complex, novel issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven ability to produce high-quality reports and strategic notes.
- Strong interpersonal skills: active listening, diplomacy, pedagogy and ease in stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and promote collective intelligence across multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional-level English (written and spoken) is indispensable.
Skills
Experience
Minimum c.5 years of progressive experience in risk management, strategic foresight, corporate governance or a related advisory function, preferably within a large multinational or luxury goods environment. Proven experience supervising small teams and managing cross-entity projects.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in social sciences, political science, business administration or equivalent.
