Hermès Australia seeks a Retail Planner for a fixed-term six-month contract in Sydney. Manage supply chain, replenishment, and inventory optimization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and implementation of Local Distribution Center and Replenishment projects within the Merchandising function
- Establish processes, systems, and protocols to integrate effective merchandise flow throughout the supply chain
- Serve as the primary liaison from Merchandising on supply chain management matters, coordinating with Retail Operations, Logistics, Inventory, IT, and Central Supply departments
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all retail locations to ensure optimal inventory levels and product offers
- Establish and evolve replenishment strategy, managing automated Min/Max and manual allocation systems
- Analyze performance and forecast stock requirements for permanent stocks and reorderable product lines
- Manage the reordering process and participate in quota, push offer, and replenishment activities for leather goods
- Execute wholistic stock optimization including transfer operations, delivery coordination, and aged stock tracking
- Provide planning and analytical support during PSI, OTB, and Pricing cycles
- Calculate and communicate Incentive and Commission programs
- Support métier management including performance analysis, forecasting, and reordering as directed
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Finance or Mathematics preferred
- Previous experience as an Assistant Planner, Junior Planner, or similar merchandising role
- Direct experience with allocations, core lines planning, delivery tracking, order portfolio maintenance, and merchandise reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong background in retail systems, replenishment platforms, logistics software, and data reporting tools
- Excellent analytical and numerical capability with strong financial orientation
- Acute attention to detail and highly efficient working style
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
- Strong technological adaptability across multiple software platforms

Experience
Previous experience as an Assistant Planner, Junior Planner, or equivalent retail planning role is required. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of hands-on involvement with allocations, core lines planning, delivery tracking, order portfolio maintenance, and merchandise reporting in a retail or merchandising environment.
Education
Tertiary qualification in Finance or Mathematics is preferred. Candidates without formal tertiary qualifications but with extensive practical experience in retail planning and merchandising may be considered.
