Hermès is recruiting a full-time, six-month convention-required Retail Merchandising Intern for its Europe and Middle East Direction in Paris, starting in January 2027. The intern supports sales reporting and strategic analysis, seasonal buying preparation, regional purchasing reviews and stock optimisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Help update and improve monthly sales reports, ensuring data reliability.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to inform the team’s strategic direction.
- Collaborate with Client Experience and Training teams to ensure consistency across boutique initiatives.
- Support subsidiaries with seasonal buying preparation in line with the region’s merchandising strategy.
- Contribute to consolidating a regional view of purchases.
- Help prepare a post-buying analysis in PowerPoint focused on implementing the buying strategy.
- Help coordinate replenishment and monitor stock levels to ensure optimal product availability.
- Assess stockout and overstock risks in close collaboration with local teams.
- Contribute to discussions on corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bac+4/5 degree at a business school or university, with an academic focus on retail, merchandising or international business.
- Able to work with Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas, and the Office suite; comfortable analysing large volumes of data.
- Fluent in written and spoken French and English in an international, multicultural working environment.
- Enjoys asking questions, structuring ideas and building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders in cross-functional, demanding environments.
