Hermès Middle East seeks a Retail Merchandiser in Dubai to drive sales strategies, optimize inventory, and support store performance across the region.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct frequent store visits to develop product expertise, analyze store feedback, and identify emerging market trends
  • Generate and share qualitative and quantitative insights supported by detailed analysis to identify business opportunities and highlight potential risks
  • Work closely with department managers in defining action plans to achieve departmental targets
  • Contribute to animations and events by ensuring appropriate product assortment, coordinating with Central Planning on deliveries, and collaborating on visual merchandising plans
  • Produce analyses and support tools recommending budget allocation by category and product line for pre-buying preparation
  • Support stores during buying cycles to ensure a coherent, customer-focused assortment balancing novelties and bestsellers
  • Monitor Point of Sale Inventory (PSI) and replenishment strategy in collaboration with the Merchandising Manager
  • Coordinate with Visual Merchandising and store teams to support seasonal product launches
  • Monitor sales performance and generate analyses using NeoBi and Cegid business intelligence tools
  • Produce monthly performance reports and update sell-through metrics to share with relevant stakeholders
  • Analyze best sellers by sell-through data, assortment mix, price points, colors, and sizes to maximize sales potential
  • Monitor and place reorders aligned with target Months of Supply (MOS) and inventory levels
  • Ensure optimal regional inventory levels and stock efficiency through strategic stock transfers and replenishment actions
  • Coordinate with Visual Merchandising and store teams to highlight and address slow-moving inventory
  • Share, implement, and adapt Europe strategy within the subsidiary while bringing forward best practices from the broader community
  • Serve as key liaison between Stores and Métiers, ensuring effective communication of feedback and strategic information

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of experience in Retail Merchandising, Buying, or related retail planning discipline
  • Understanding of Visual Merchandising principles and execution
  • Strong analytical skills with solid knowledge of merchandising KPIs and performance metrics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data analysis
  • Competence with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for report development and presentations
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across retail and corporate teams
  • Highly organized, reliable, and strong team player
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Business-oriented mindset with proactive, solution-driven approach and capacity to propose innovative ideas

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or related discipline preferred. Equivalent professional experience in merchandising and buying may substitute for formal qualification.
