Hermès — Remote Monitoring Security Officer in Paris. Permanent full‑time role in the central security control room (PCS) for alarm, access and video monitoring.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate the central security control room (PCS) to monitor alarms and events from intrusion, fire and technical systems, and integrated video surveillance in real time.
  • Perform video and audio verification (levée de doute) and rapidly qualify and classify incidents (intrusion, fire, medical emergency, vandalism, panic).
  • Trigger and coordinate alert and crisis procedures (POI, emergency plans), contact emergency services and dispatch local security teams as required.
  • Maintain continuous vigilance over VMS, access control and intrusion detection systems; manage site arming/disarming and e-key/intercom operations.
  • Record and ensure traceability of every event in the incident management log (main courante) and produce clear, structured incident reports.
  • Manage multiple information streams and communications (telephone, radio, intercom) while maintaining service quality under stress or during multiple simultaneous alarms.
  • Conduct video investigations and export imagery for law enforcement when required.
  • Participate in on-site equipment tests (security devices, SSI, PTI) and escalate technical faults while proposing procedural improvements.
  • Contribute to regular crisis exercises and update operational procedures; provide first‑level advisory support to internal clients on security system status and remedial actions.
  • Occasionally support on-site security teams for proximity security operations when needed.

Qualifications

  • CQP in security (Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle) and valid French professional security card (carte professionnelle).
  • In-depth knowledge of the French Code de la Sécurité Intérieure (Books II and VI), fire safety regulations and legal framework for video surveillance (RGPD, relevant laws and decrees).
  • Proven ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays in a 24/7 operational service.
  • Excellent written reporting skills and strict adherence to confidentiality and professional ethics.

Experience

Minimum 6 years' experience in tele‑surveillance and/or video surveillance; recent experience in a multisite control room is highly valued. Demonstrated competence in high‑pressure operations and multi‑alarm environments.

CQP (security) and a valid French professional security card (Carte Professionnelle).
