Hermès Maison seeks a Regulatory Affairs Officer to strengthen its dedicated compliance team and consolidate its regulatory framework across four product families: furniture, lighting, decorative objects, and textiles. Reporting to the Regulatory Director, this role requires expertise in navigating accelerating regulatory transformation across global markets, including product safety, customs, normative, and environmental compliance. The position involves serving as liaison with national federations and associations, conducting regulatory and normative research for product development projects, and coordinating internal and cross-group working groups to ensure compliance across all Hermès Maison entities and international subsidiaries.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison with national federations, associations, and regulatory bodies across furniture, textile, decorative object, and lighting segments
- Pilot, coordinate, and disseminate regulatory, customs, normative, and environmental surveillance (both national and international) to ensure product and material compliance and anticipate regulatory changes
- Conduct regulatory and normative research in advance of product development projects; deliver tailored restitution and concrete strategic recommendations to technical development teams
- Participate in and represent Hermès Maison within Hermès Group internal working groups on product safety, regulatory surveillance, and cross-functional initiatives
- Interact internally with technical development, sustainability (RSE), collection, supply chain, and commercial teams; maintain regular relations with international subsidiary counterparts and cross-functional group departments including customs, sustainability, and industrial divisions
Qualifications
- Diploma in a technical discipline (chemistry, quality management, HSE) or law/regulatory affairs
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in quality management, HSE, customs, or regulatory affairs
- Proficiency in project management and information systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent English; Italian language proficiency is desirable

Experience
Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in quality management, occupational health and safety (HSE), customs, or regulatory affairs, preferably within a luxury goods, home furnishings, or consumer products environment. Experience with cross-functional project management and coordination across complex organizational structures is essential.
Education
Diploma in a technical discipline such as chemistry, quality management, or health, safety, and environment (HSE); or a qualification in law, legal studies, or regulatory affairs. Advanced degree or specialized certification in regulatory affairs or product compliance is advantageous.
