Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise technical interventions on quartz, mechanical, manufacture movements, small and high complications, and jewelry watches to Hermès quality standards.
  • Execute case and bracelet finishing operations (polishing, satin‑brushing, sandblasting) and ensure all finishing meets Hermès finishing standards.
  • Operate and manage the Hong Kong workshop autonomously: organise, secure, maintain and inventory watchmaking tools, equipment and spare parts.
  • Oversee after‑sales operations across Asia‑Pacific markets (including Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan): ensure workshop efficiency, quality, safety and service standards.
  • Manage spare parts distribution and workshop communication flows; coordinate logistics and service delivery with boutiques.
  • Deliver technical training and ongoing support to internal and external watchmakers and retail teams; act as regional technical reference for the Asia‑Pacific region.
  • Monitor workshop productivity and quality KPIs, manage turnaround times to meet Hermès service level expectations, and ensure accurate use of after‑sales IT systems.
  • Provide direct people leadership for the Hong Kong and Macau watchmaking teams: workforce planning, recruitment, skills development, performance management and fostering a craftsmanship‑focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognised watchmaking program (e.g., WOSTEP) or equivalent certified diploma.
  • Minimum 6 years' progressive experience as a Senior Watchmaker or Workshop Manager, preferably within the luxury timepiece sector.
  • Proven ability to train and certify watchmakers and retail teams on Maison calibers and technical standards.
  • High manual dexterity, precision and experience handling small, delicate components and high‑complication movements.
  • Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to meet productivity targets and turnaround time objectives.
  • Good oral and written English; ability to communicate technical information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Experience
