Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end retail projects across South Asia including new boutiques, renovations, expansions and store environment upgrades, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Manage full project lifecycle: feasibility, briefing, design coordination, budgeting, tendering, construction management and handover to Retail Operations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and schedules; implement cost control measures and report financial status to real estate leadership and subsidiary management.
  • Coordinate and manage external consultants, architects, specialty designers, engineering teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with Hermès standards and HI/RDAI guidelines.
  • Review architectural drawings, technical packages, shop drawings, material samples and specifications; perform site inspections to verify quality and design intent.
  • Execute fast-track minor works and store improvement initiatives, including fixture upgrades, staff amenities and small-scale spatial alterations.
  • Oversee regional maintenance and safety programmes; conduct periodic inspections and train/support local teams on maintenance protocols.
  • Support sustainability initiatives (Harmonie) by recommending materials, construction methods and operational practices; participate in supplier qualification and factory evaluations where required.
  • Maintain comprehensive digital archives of drawings, permits, specifications and project histories; track administrative documentation and asset records.
  • Provide concise, regular updates to internal stakeholders and foster strong relationships with HI Real Estate, RDAI Paris and subsidiary management teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience; typically 5–8 years in architecture, interior design or construction project management, preferably within luxury retail or commercial interiors.
  • Professional training in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent technical discipline; professional architect status is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record managing full‑cycle architectural and retail projects across multiple markets or countries.
  • Strong understanding of regional construction regulations and permitting processes; ability to coordinate with local authorities and suppliers.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple concurrent projects and communicate clearly across cultures.

Experience

Minimum 6 years of relevant post‑qualification experience in architecture, interior design or construction project management, with demonstrable experience delivering retail or commercial interior projects across multiple countries or territories.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or equivalent; professional architect qualification preferred.
