Six-month quality project coordinator internship at Hermès Maroquinerie de Saint Antoine, Paris. Support defect reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the primary recoupe reduction project: conduct workshop audits to inventory defects, analyze root causes using Pareto analysis, develop and deliver quality awareness sessions, animate production dashboards, and coordinate implementation with supply chain teams
- Manage quality escalations from the cutting department: ensure structured reporting protocols, track resolution timelines with cutting facilities, and verify closure
- Support quality assurance activities: create materials for quality alerts, handle customer returns and near-miss incidents, collaborate with workshop managers on control station optimization, and coordinate training alignment activities
- Compile and maintain quality indicators for both the maroquinerie site and the broader Paris Val de Seine cluster: workshop performance summaries, second-choice items tracking, and destruction reports
- Conduct audit activities on shaping processes to detect quality drift over time and ensure 100% product range control compliance
Qualifications
- Baccalauréat +5 engineering degree from a generalist school or Master's degree in Quality Management or Continuous Improvement
- Demonstrated interest in production-floor operations and manufacturing problem-solving
- Genuine commitment to continuous improvement with proactive problem-identification capability
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across departments and workshop teams
- Analytical mindset combined with meticulous attention to data accuracy and action tracking

Experience
No specific prior experience required; however, familiarity with production environments, quality management systems, or lean methodologies would be advantageous.
Education
Baccalauréat +5: engineering degree (generalist school) or Master's degree in Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, or related field.
