Hermès Quality Officer, Footwear (6-month contract) in Pantin, France. Lead quality initiatives across luxury shoe production and Italian partners.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional risk analysis and problem-solving activities throughout the product lifecycle with internal and external stakeholders
- Pilot upstream quality in prototype and sample phases, including wear-testing, to mitigate risks and secure timely delivery
- Enforce Hermès quality standards across all footwear manufacturers and partners at each development milestone
- Build, monitor, and communicate quality control indicators for production and logistics to manufacturing partners
- Coordinate with after-sales service and commercial networks to translate field alerts into corrective action plans
- Ensure product safety, inventory compliance, and invoice tracking in accordance with Group requirements
- Drive continuous improvement of quality tools, processes, and operational frameworks within the Quality department
- Conduct regular on-site visits to Italian partners (2–3 times per month) to ensure rigorous field supervision and foster sustainable relationships
Qualifications
- Mastery of quality methodologies and their deployment in complex industrial environments
- Demonstrated ability for detailed observation, synthesis, and strategic recommendations
- Recognized capacity to federate cross-functional teams around shared quality objectives
- Knowledge of Italian language
- Comfort with regular travel to Italy
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in quality management within industrial or luxury manufacturing environments, with demonstrated expertise in deploying quality standards across supply chains and partner networks.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in quality management, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
