Hermès is recruiting a Quality Manager for Made-to-Order in Pantin, France. Lead quality assurance for bespoke fashion production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Establish quality assurance frameworks for made-to-order operations, including control processes, supplier specifications, and audit checklists across material, manufacturing, and finished goods inspection
- Conduct regular audits at contractor and supplier facilities in France and Italy, assessing production line processes, final quality controls, and compliance with established standards
- Lead quality risk analysis during product development phases, coordinate material and component qualification, and serve as liaison between control platforms (Qualitex for materials, Deret for finished goods)
- Manage quality alerts and disputes, establishing governance structures and dashboards for made-to-order quality reporting
- Identify at-risk contractors, develop corrective action plans, implement quality improvement tools, and facilitate best-practice sharing across the fashion division
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance within luxury manufacturing or fashion production
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier auditing and quality process management
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and manufacturing quality systems
- Experience with quality management platforms and tools
Skills
Experience
5+ years in quality assurance, quality management, or related roles within luxury fashion, made-to-order, or high-end manufacturing environments, with direct experience auditing external contractors and managing supplier quality programs.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, Production Engineering, or equivalent professional certification in quality management systems.
