Hermès Manufacture de Métaux — Roye, France: Quality Intern (6‑month) to support metrology, QC processes and dashboards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop 3D inspection programs in QuickVision to streamline dimensional control of simple turned and machined parts.
- Review and update quality inspection routines and author operator control sheets (inspection and operator gammes).
- Define sampling and acceptance criteria using AQP/AQL methodologies for production and incoming inspection.
- Implement digital incoming inspection workflows linking measuring instruments (digital calipers) to PC systems to auto‑capture measurement data.
- Create inspection routines directly from SolidWorks part files to automate control plan generation.
- Harmonize end‑of‑line inspection and assembly control procedures across production flows.
- Support KPI and scrap data analysis to produce dashboards and actionable reports for the Quality team.
- Structure and maintain Quality documentation architecture within SharePoint.
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives and establish relevant indicators and routines to optimise workload and process flow.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bac+3 to Bac+5 program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in Quality, Industrial Production, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Factual, analytical and critical reasoning skills with an ability to interpret measurement data.
- Autonomous and disciplined, with a collaborative team spirit.
- Adaptability, strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to manage stress and prioritise tasks.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to propose and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
Skills
Experience
This is a 6‑month internship for a student (Bac+3 to Bac+5). Prior exposure to production environments, metrology or quality control through coursework or previous internships is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's level (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in Quality Management, Industrial Production, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; current student status required.
