Hermès Manufacture de Métaux seeks a Quality Engineer Assistant Intern for its Roye manufacturing site, supporting machining, supplier, development and end-of-line inspections, quality documentation, KPI analysis and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, six-month internship starting in January or February 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop QuickVision coordinate-measuring programs to simplify inspection of simple parts.
- Review and update quality control plans and create operator inspection plans.
- Define AQP/AQL inspection requirements.
- Develop digital tools for incoming supplier inspection, connecting measurement instruments such as calipers to a PC so measurements are recorded automatically rather than entered manually into an Excel file.
- Create SolidWorks inspection plans automatically from engineering department drawings.
- Harmonize inspection plans for treated components and assembly.
- Support KPI and scrap-data analysis and create dashboards.
- Develop the quality-documentation architecture in SharePoint.
- Propose continuous-improvement measures, indicators, and routines to streamline workload; tasks and projects may evolve according to the candidate.
Qualifications
- BAC +4/+5 education in Quality or Production, such as an engineering school.
- Fact-based and critical analytical ability.
- Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively on projects, and independently.
- Adaptability.
- Simplicity, interpersonal ease, particularly with clients, listening and communication skills, and the ability to manage stress and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
