Hermès is seeking a Quality Engineer Assistant for a six-month, full-time internship at Beyrand in Couzeix, starting in January or February. The intern will support production quality, material risk analysis and the improvement and digitisation of quality systems.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work with production teams to analyse and resolve day-to-day quality issues.
- Attend production meetings and contribute to action-plan monitoring.
- Analyse quality indicators and help identify priority improvement areas.
- Contribute to developing material FMEAs and associated inspection plans by product family.
- Help define an appropriate inspection strategy, including characteristics, methods, frequencies and acceptance criteria.
- Help establish an ongoing review process for risk analyses based on feedback and lessons learned.
- Help document technical know-how through inspection sheets, best practices and standards.
- Contribute to updating and harmonising quality documentation across the site and the ceramics division.
- Participate in quality-tool digitisation projects, including shade templates, QRQC sheets and tracking tools.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a general engineering degree with an industrial focus and seeking practical, hands-on experience.
- Demonstrates rigour, observational skills and the ability to work methodically and considerately as part of a team.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methods such as DMAIC, 5 Whys, 5M, 5S and statistical process control, with an interest in developing these skills in a real-world setting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and curious about exploring new digital tools for quality.
