Hermès is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist for knit and jersey materials in Pantin, France. Full-time internship role in luxury apparel quality management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create, update, and distribute seasonal and permanent jersey quality standards internally and to all partners involved in quality control (suppliers, logistics providers)
- Participate in knit and jersey quality risk reviews and analysis of technical specifications
- Verify completeness and conformity of technical data against house standards; formalize specifications with internal teams
- Deploy and coordinate shared testing plans with manufacturing partners and document laboratory testing capabilities
- Collect production test results from suppliers and verify compliance with required testing frequency
- Support implementation of knit safety monitoring protocols in collaboration with the regulatory quality coordinator
- Analyze wear test results against laboratory results to ensure test representativeness and update technical specifications as needed
- Analyze historical wear test data on permanent products to prevent gradual performance drift
- Launch long-term wear tests to measure durability of delicate products and items requiring special care during washing
- Establish monthly supplier key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare associated performance reports
- Prepare and implement supplier performance assessments to drive continuous improvement
- Support regulatory testing activities and coordinate sample collection for testing in China and Korea
Qualifications
- Degree in textile engineering from institutions such as ENSAIT, ITECH, or HEI, or equivalent professional qualification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong ability to build collaborative relationships
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive problem-solving capability
- Fluent in English
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Skills
Experience
Ideally, prior experience in textile quality assurance, materials testing, or supplier quality management within a fashion or luxury apparel environment. Fresh graduates from accredited textile engineering programs with strong academic foundations in textile science, quality control, or materials analysis are encouraged to apply.
