Hermès Quality Assurance Intern, Paris. 6-month internship supporting continuous improvement and quality initiatives in leather goods production.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the rework reduction project by conducting workshop audits, performing Pareto analysis on defect causes by craftsperson, and delivering regular quality updates to production teams
  • Manage the quality escalation process for cutting-phase issues, ensuring 100% of defects are properly characterized, tracked, and resolved in timely manner with the cutting facility
  • Conduct equipment and process audits on forming stations to detect and mitigate production drift, ensuring full coverage of the control range
  • Compile and maintain quality metrics dashboards including workshop summaries, second-choice inventory, and scrap analysis for the manufactory and broader pole
  • Coordinate quality assurance activities with training workshops and support the setup of control stations to achieve 100% audit compliance
  • Assist the Quality Manager in documenting craft knowledge standards and supporting quality awareness sessions across all production teams

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in quality management, continuous improvement, or industrial engineering, or equivalent engineering school graduate (Bac+5)
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret production data and identify root causes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Hands-on orientation with genuine interest in manufacturing processes and production problem-solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with rigorous approach to data management and action tracking
