Ateliers AS seeks Quality Assurance Coordinator in Pierre Bénite, France for 6-month fixed-term contract. Oversee production quality, defect analysis, and continuous improvement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct defect analysis and accompany production teams through systematic problem-solving methodologies; manage first-level issue resolution and escalate to crisis management protocols as needed
- Track and propose trials for first-level problem resolution; pilot PED (Process Effectiveness Determination) analyses in coordination with production teams
- Monitor quality performance indicators including quality rates, defect Pareto analysis, and PED counts; establish quality objectives and animate daily workshop performance reviews
- Manage collection traceability and lead end-to-end collection follow-up from sampling through completion, including risk analysis, quality briefings, duplicate tracking, and action plan coordination
- Pilot corrective and preventive action plans derived from daily coordination meetings and PED analyses, ensuring measurable quality outcomes
- Serve as quality authority on the production floor with authority to halt production; conduct daily field monitoring across assigned formats, oversee product calibration (preparation, printing, drying, finishing), and perform best-practice audits at workstations
- Maintain quality documentation and procedures; share quality alerts and best practices across teams; facilitate inter-team exchanges on quality issues and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in quality or methods within demanding industrial environments
- Knowledge of textile manufacturing preferred; experience with printing operations and M3 (3-Measurement) methodology is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal—with demonstrated ability to listen, dialogue, and collaborate
- Analytical and synthetic thinking; strong organizational and anticipatory capabilities
- Comfort with field-based work and product expertise; proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with adaptability and responsiveness
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or industrial methods within demanding manufacturing environments. Experience in textile manufacturing is preferred; familiarity with printing operations and M3 methodology is considered an advantage.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent advanced technical qualification.
