Hermès seeks a Quality & Regulatory Affairs Assistant for a six-month internship in Pantin, France. Support product compliance and quality assurance for innovative IoT collaborations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct and monitor regulatory compliance campaigns on materials and components in partnership with external laboratories, including REACH, RoHS, and Prop 65 testing protocols
  • Manage product and component certifications for electronic products, ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable standards
  • Review customs compliance documentation and verify product origin requirements
  • Develop and maintain quality control specifications, including acceptance criteria for finished products
  • Perform quality inspections at critical product stages: prototypes, pre-series, and production batches
  • Execute usage testing and laboratory trials to support product homologation requirements
  • Maintain quality documentation in accordance with the management system, including inspection records, test reports, and certification data
  • Monitor supplier quality performance indicators and contribute to monthly and annual quality/service review reports
  • Implement quality management tools (5P, 8D, PDCA, Pareto analysis) to anticipate product and process risks
  • Develop traceability systems to track components and finished products by batch
  • Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects in alignment with continuous improvement methodology

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering school or equivalent university program
  • Demonstrated strong interest in artisanal and industrial manufacturing practices
  • Proficiency with quality management tools and methodologies (5P, 8D, PDCA, Pareto analysis)
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Strong initiative and analytical mindset with attention to detail
