Hermès — Pantin: Purchasing Manager (Silk & Accessories). Lead supplier strategy, traceability deployment, price negotiations and RSE compliance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and deploy the procurement strategy for the Silk & Accessories pole in alignment with business objectives and group purchasing frameworks.
  • Manage and animate the supplier panel to preserve key know‑how, secure supply continuity and cultivate balanced, long‑term partnerships.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and contract renewals with a total‑cost perspective and ensure updates in procurement systems.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements across quality, cost, lead times and regulatory compliance; establish and monitor KPIs and reporting.
  • Lead supplier risk management including regular on‑site visits, external audits and the definition and follow‑up of corrective action plans (HSE, social and environmental).
  • Ensure RSE/compliance of supply chains: analyse materials streams, implement audit programmes, follow regulatory evolution and embed remediation plans.
  • Steer and operationalise product traceability projects: assess partner maturity, map internal/external flows (finished goods to raw materials), apply group traceability standards and deliver rollout roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with development, innovation and IT teams to qualify new suppliers and ensure system functionalities meet operational traceability needs.
  • Support margin analyses per SKU and participate in procurement planning for high‑risk supplies ahead of product launches; travel frequently to supplier sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in an industrial procurement/sourcing role, ideally within luxury goods, textiles or accessories manufacturing.
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) with a strong affinity for technical and process topics.
  • Fluent English; Italian is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of RSE/social audits, regulatory requirements and supplier audit methodologies.
  • Experience with metallic materials/processes is desirable.
  • Proven negotiation skills, analytical rigor, excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, listening aptitude and the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and fieldwork; collaborative team mindset.

Experience

Education

Engineering degree (Master's level or equivalent) with strong technical/process aptitude.
