Hermès Sellier in Pantin seeks an Apprentice Purchasing Assistant — Leather & Textiles. Apprenticeship based in Pantin, France for Bac+4/5 students.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support buyers in the operational management of leather and textile suppliers, including follow-up and coordination.
- Collect, structure and analyse purchasing data to produce dashboards and indicators (quality, lead times, volumes) that inform decision-making.
- Assist with supplier invoicing follow-up, payment tracking and resolution of financial discrepancies.
- Participate in sourcing activities: supplier identification, evaluation and market/competitive analyses for raw materials.
- Contribute to commercial negotiations and the operational follow-up of purchase orders and deliveries.
- Prepare cost studies, comparative analyses and regular activity reporting for the purchasing direction.
- Support projects related to traceability, sustainability and supplier performance improvement in conjunction with RSE/CSR and technical teams.
- Help optimise purchasing processes and reporting tools to increase efficiency and transparency.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bac+4/5 or Master programme in business (purchasing / supply chain), engineering or equivalent (IAE, grande école).
- First professional experience in purchasing or supply chain (internship or equivalent) is required.
- Strong numerical aptitude, organisational rigour and analytical mindset.
- Good command of English (written and oral).
- Demonstrated interest in luxury craftsmanship, leather goods and sustainable sourcing.

Experience
A first experience in purchasing or supply chain (internship or short professional placement) is required; beginners and recent graduates are accepted within the apprenticeship framework.
Education
Bac+4/5 (Master) in Business (purchasing / supply chain), Engineering or equivalent specialised programme.
