Moulinage Vernède seeks Production Team Lead in Prades, France. Manage silk processing team, oversee quality & HSE, drive operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct and manage a rotating production team, fostering transparent communication, skill development, and performance accountability through regular individual and collective briefings
- Establish and execute daily production schedules in coordination with facility operations, accounting for workforce availability, machine capacity, batch sequencing, and operational constraints
- Monitor production progress across all workshop sectors (wetting, unwinding, assembly, mills/DT, winding, and folding) and ensure adherence to schedules and delivery timelines
- Conduct root-cause analysis following customer complaints or production anomalies, implementing corrective measures to enhance both quality and productivity
- Validate leave and rest day requests, arbitrate scheduling conflicts, and ensure equitable workload distribution within the team
- Perform annual performance reviews and development interviews; propose individual salary increases and career advancement opportunities
- Champion health, safety, and environment (HSE) compliance across the workshop; conduct HSE audits, propose improvement initiatives, and alert facility leadership to behavioral or procedural breaches
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to manufacturing workflows
- Manage raw material inventory and supply chain to prevent production disruptions
- Participate directly in production operations when required to maintain workflow continuity
Qualifications
- BTS Textile (or equivalent qualification) or proven experience in the textile or silk processing sector
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on knowledge of at least two silk manufacturing trades and associated machinery
- Familiarity with silk and viscose fibre properties and basic maintenance principles
- Electrical safety certification (HQE) or forklift operation licence (desirable)
- Autoclave operation capability

Experience
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in production supervision, textile manufacturing, or equivalent operational management within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Education
BTS Textile or equivalent technical qualification; or demonstrated experience in the textile/silk manufacturing sector offsetting formal credentials.
